Beaver Brook Pt 5- Water-Works & More (Water-falls, Mound D, Rock Water Funnel, Fish Weir & Stone Altar)

Beaver Brook Pt 5- Water-Works & More (Water-falls, Mound D, Rock Water Funnel, Fish Weir & Stone Altar)

Water-Fall A.  This water-fall is over the height of one's head.  The water level at this spot today, standing under the water fall, after a spring rain is above one's waist, and this is with a giant dam up the street by Echo Lake.  This area was a paradise ages ago.  Again, Water-fall A-

Stone Mound D, along the upper banks of the brook-

Water-fall B in the distance-

Turtle-god effigy boulder, profile angle-

Turtle god head on, it can be seen that this is also an offering niche-

In front of the turtle-god effigy is this propped-up stone slab/ stone altar. A-

Stone fishing weir running the length of the brook, nearby to the turtle god.  In pre-colonial times the water levels here were higher and the brook would have been larger. A-

A water funnel, created by splitting and working-out this boulder.  Note the perfect angles, indicating the boulder was split to create this effect.  This kind of a feature came to my attention after listening to senior researcher Peter Waksman (of http://rockpiles.blogspot.com/) give a lecture and having mentioned such things, showing one of his examples from another site.  I have no doubt this is definitley a man-made feature/ modification from pre-colonial/ pre-history times-
