Gungywamp (Groton CT.) Pt 2- Row of Standing Stones + More

Gungywamp (Groton CT.) Pt 2- Row of Standing Stones + More

Standing Stone row in different angles-

This Standing Stone has a worn-out petroglyph of a bird etched into it (profile of head and side view of wingspan.)  For more info on this and Gungywamp in general, follow the link here to the Gage's research/ website- http://www.stonestructures.org/html/gungywamp.html

"Site 10"- 2 cairns in a stone row w/ standing stones-

More stone wall in the area.  This section of wall was directly behind the row of Standing Stones.  Note the niche opening in the wall (so that perhaps elements like the wind could freely travel)-

An obvious indigenous stone row between ledge boulders-

Stone wall ending at ledge-

A maze of stone walls and ledges-
