Feather On The Moon- Sachem of the Massachusetts Tribe Speaks
Gill Solomon, Feather On The Moon, is the current Sachem (the Algonquian word for "Chief") of the Massachusett/ Ponkapoag Tribe. The state of Massachusetts gets its name from his ancestors- they were the people living around the water-ways at the foot of the Blue Hills when the colonists came.
