Hopkinton Beehive Reconstruction

Here is the reconstruction of the Hopkinton Beehive near Lake Whitehall.  The original structure has been destroyed, although it exists still as a remnant.  The story I heard was that the landowner's hired a stone mason to reonstruct the beehive shrine, in a different location (but close by) based on an existing photograph of the original beehive shrine.  An interesting story.  Also there is no doubt in my mind that the stoneworks I featured in the last post must co-relate to the original beehive shrine in some way, given the close proximity.  So, here is the modern reconstruction of "the hopkinton beehive":
